Sweetwater Combined Communications 911 Center is celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week the full week of April 9-15, 2017. This week is sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and celebrated annually. It honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render lifesaving assistance to the citizens of the United States. We are enlisting your support in helping to honor these men and women in our area for the work that they do every day to protect the citizens of Sweetwater County.
The first access point for citizens seeking emergency and non-emergency services is 9-1-1. The Sweetwater Combined Communications center receives these calls and is the first and single point of contact for persons seeking immediate assistance during an emergency in Sweetwater County also the Cities and Towns that lies within.
