In 1994, “National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week” was formally recognized and is celebrated each year during the second full week of April to coincide with National 9-1-1 Education Month.
On April 5, The Sweetwater County Board of Commissioners, the Rock Springs City Council, and the Green River City Council all signed a Proclamation proclaiming April 10-16, 2022 National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week to honor these local men and women for the work they do in keeping the citizens and emergency responders of Sweetwater County safe on a daily basis.
