Every year during National Telecommunications Week we present a series of awards. Due to the pandemic, our yearly celebration was put on hold and we did something a little different. Several of our dispatchers and law enforcement officers surprised the recipient of one of the awards at her home.
Former 911 dispatcher Jackie Herwaldt was the recipient of this years Dispatch Hall of Fame Award. The Hall of Fame award gives us a chance to thank a fellow employee for their long work hours, sacrificed time away from their families, and their commitment to public safety. This nomination can also be a person who used to be a dispatcher or is an advocate for Dispatch and has helped pave the way for our success.
