On November 12, Communications Officers Abbey Meeks and Lundyn Palmer graduated from Communications Officer Basic Course at the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy. The Communications Officer Basic Course is a 2 week, 80 hour course that all dispatchers in Wyoming must attend and complete. Subjects taught include; Interpersonal Communications, NCIC/WCJIS, Civil Liability, Crisis Intervention, Telephone Procedures, and Radio Procedures.
Prior to attending the academy, both Communications Officers completed roughly 1120 hours of in house training over 28 weeks and 6 months of probation.
