The Sweetwater County Combined Communications Joint Powers Board is seekingqualified applicants for the position of Public Safety Telecommunications Operations
Manager.
This position assists in the planning, directing, managing, and oversight of daily shift
operations and staffing, and performs related operational, administrative and project
management duties as assigned under the general guidance and authority of the
Executive Director. The Operations Manager exercises oversight and evaluation of shift
supervisors and all subordinate staff.
Qualified applicants for this position will have a minimum of seven (7) years public safety
dispatching experience, to include at least two (2) years supervisory experience in a public
safety communications center. Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED,
with preference given to those with advanced degrees from accredited institutions of
higher learning.
Applicants will undergo an extensive criminal background, credit and social media check,
physical, and drug and alcohol testing.
This is a full-time, on-site hourly position. Schedule is Monday - Friday with some holidays
and weekends as necessary. Shift hours will be discussed and agreed upon with the
successful candidate post-hire. Starting pay is $41.88 per hour plus benefits. Position is
non-exempt, overtime eligible.

Employee Assistance Program
We are pleased to announce that we have established a special support service for all of our employees. We have joined Dr. Jerry Post’s first responder Employee Assistance Program. All of our employees are now eligible for the services available from this program.
The program consists of a statewide network of selected mental health professionals who are experienced working with first responders and trauma survivors. Employees may contact any provider directly and receive up to three sessions of services annually (March 1 - February 29 of the next year.) This time is meant to be used to evaluate a situation and plan a possible course of action. Should further services be desired, your health insurance through BlueCross BlueShield will apply (for more information contact BC/BS Member Services @ 307-634-1393.) You may refer yourself and your privacy is protected.
